Lowana Five continues good form at Audi Victoria Week

Simon Vaughan’s RL24 Lowana Five continued its winning form in the BIA Trailerable Yacht Series, which is part of the 166th Audi Victoria Week, scoring a first and a second in today’s two races to be leading the progressive pointscore by a comfortable seven points.

“The first race was light, between 5 and 10 knots, and for the second race it built to a maximum 15 knots. The second race was a long one and a bit of a soldier’s course with lots of two sail reaching, which doesn’t really suit us.

“We are very happy with our series lead,” added Vaughan.

Second on the pointscore after three races is Peter Kalin’s Plane Sailing and third is Phil Clements Rum Runner, both from the Albury Wodonga Yacht Club.

The BIA Trailerable Yacht Series comprises six scheduled races and will be decided next Tuesday, 26 December.
