Planning in full flight for 2011
Well we have reached the half way mark of 2010, time is flying by.
The planning for Audi Victoria Week is well underway and there is a number of exciting concepts being discussed, watch this space!
In local news, Tiger Airways has announced it will start flights from Audi Victoria Week, well close enough Avalon Airport, later this year with routes to include Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. Prices are ridiculously low, so if you would like to book ahead for January do so now!
In other news, the program for Audi Victoria Week will commence in the Docklands on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 before the yachts will set sail for Geelong in the historic passage race on Saturday 22. Racing will continue on Corio Bay until Australia Day, Wednesday 26.
Audi Victoria Week continues to be the host of choice for state and national championships and 2011 will be no exception with the Sydney 38 National Championship. The championship is expected to attract a strong fleet with a number of interstate representatives.
The shoreside program will get underway in Geelong on Saturday 22 and will feature some of Australia’s best known performers and talented up and comers. A number of themes are being considered with assurance that the program will offer an eclectic mix of musical influences.
Andrew Neilson, Audi Victoria Week chairman is counting down to January, “We are looking forward to another fantastic regatta, the bar continues to be set higher each year as we strive to deliver a bigger and better event. Whether you’re a sailor or spectator Audi Victoria Week is a ‘must do’ event and should not be missed”.
