Who ate all the pies?
Audi Victoria Week held a pie night on Wednesday evening at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, with over sixty people attending.
The event was a chance to learn more about the upcoming SB3 World Championships and hear the latest on Audi Victoria Week.
It was also an opportunity for the event organisers to introduce the new event coordinator, Jav Greaves. Jav spoke on his sailing and event related experienced before detailing next year’s event program.
Rod Jones of Oceanburo spoke on the SB3 World Championship and tipped over forty international crews would compete. The SB3 is the fastest growing one design keel boat in the world, with almost 1000 boats sold since the class was developed.
Interest for the championship has been high and a campaign to attract entrants is already underway with Audi Victoria Week organisers sending 140 USB memory sticks containing key event information and details on the Geelong region to Lake Garda, Italy for the current World Championships.
The 2012 SB3 World Championship promises to be an exciting event and is a real coup for Geelong as host.
