The all important program

The program for Audi Victoria Week will commence in the Docklands on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 before the fleet will set sail for Geelong in the historic passage race on Saturday 22. Racing will continue on Corio Bay until Australia Day, Wednesday 26.

We are pleased to announce that the Sydney 38 National Championship will be held during Audi Victoria Week. The championship will get underway on Sunday 23 and is expected to attract a strong fleet with a number of interstate representatives.

The Docklands IRC Invitational will be compressed to a one day only event to be held on Friday 21. It will again feature two divisions Grand Prix and Production. The top 20 yachts will be invited to participate shortly.

In a first for the Docklands an ISAF Graded match racing event will be staged on Thursday 20 and Friday 21. Invitations to lodge an Expression of Interest to participate in the new format Audi King of the Docklands will be sent to Australian and International Clubs shortly.

A blast from the past
The Celebration of Sail - sail past will be reintroduced and will take place on Tuesday 25. Crews will be asked to join in the festivities by dressing up and decorating their yachts.

Yachts will parade around past the piers for the general public to enjoy whilst showcasing their creativity.

Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed yacht so best to start thinking about your theme now.

On shore activities
The shoreside program will get underway in Geelong on Saturday 22 and will continue until Australia Day, Wednesday 26. 

A twilight time frame will be implemented to ensure those at work or on the water won't miss out on all the fun. The free entertainment will commence from 4pm through until 10pm on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and from 10am – 4pm on Wednesday 26.

Visitors to the event can expect a great line up of performers, plenty of food & wine, the immensely popular ‘Go Sailing’ program, art & craft market stalls, hot beach volleyball action, a fireworks spectacular plus much more.
